Privacy Policy
This policy covers the iOS app Drawing Cartoons. The Android app has a separate policy.
Cartoons stay on the device
Projects, items, and drawings are stored on your device. We do not upload them. When you export a video, the app asks permission to add that video to your photo library. The video is saved only in Photos. The app does not read your photo library and does not receive a copy of the video.
Usage analytics
We use Amplitude to see which features are used, so we can improve the app. We send event names such as saving a project, starting an export, finishing or skipping the tutorial, and importing a scene or an item. An export event includes how many frames the scene has. Amplitude keeps a device identifier so events from the same install can be grouped, and it may derive a coarse location, such as country, from the IP address of the request. The app does not ask for location permission and does not read GPS.
We do not send your name, your email, or the contents of your cartoons. We do not use this data for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Crash reports
We use Bugsnag to receive crash reports. A report can include the device model, the operating system version, the app version, a device identifier, and the technical details of the crash. We use this to fix bugs. We do not create an account in the app, and we do not set your name or email on these reports.
What we do not do
- No login and no account.
- No ads.
- No sale of your information.
- No tracking across other companies’ apps or websites.
